Matt's Art Journey

All of my artwork involves drawing on paper in some form; whether with pencil, pen, oil pastel, charcoal or mixed media. I have created drawings all my adult life, mostly for my own pleasure (and wellbeing), but occasionally for exhibition or sale.

My work follows two main styles. One of these is creating forms of abstract patterning, reflecting the patterns of nature and the perceptual experience of 'just looking' at the natural world. The other is more illustrative, with images capturing my philosophical, political and emotional responses to the world at different points in my life.
